Do you live in Marbella or the surrounding area and you need your flat screen TV mounted on the wall?
Perhaps you are looking to save some space or just make an aesthetically pleasing update to your living room or bedroom. If that’s the case, wall mounting your LED, or LCD TV is a fantastic choice.
Nowadays TV mounts come in a large variety and options and can be mounted to almost any wall including drywall, brick, cement, or even tile.
Why you should Wall Mount a Flat Screen TV?
Wall mounted televisions have several benefits. Here are just some.
TV Purchasing Tips
Wall brackets come in a variety of sizes and shapes so finding one that works for your particular situation is not a problem. Most of the mounts are universal and can fit any new monitor TV. However, there are some things you will need to take into consideration.
You will need to know the size of the screen and the weight of the TV in order to buy the correct brackets for mounting it. And yes, you will need to buy brackets yourself as usually they are not included with the TV itself. Now, in most cases, weight won’t be an issue, especially if you purchased a brand new LED TV. But, it’s good to know anyway so you can make sure you get the correct brackets.
In order to find out which brackets you need to buy, it’s good to understand the VESA standard as most TV manufacturers adopted it.
What is the VESA Standard?
The VESA Interface Standard is a universal mounting standard that defines the distance in millimetres between the four mounting holes on the back of a TV (distance horizontally x distance vertically). VESA is a standard used for TV brackets and wall mounting systems, adapted by most TV brands such as Samsung, Sony, Lg, Philips… Common VESA sizes are 200 x 200, 400 x 400 and 600 x 400 depending on the screen size of your TV.
You will usually find this information in the user manual of your TV. But if it’s not there, you can always call me and I’ll gladly help you.
Think about what kind of features are you looking for? The most basic mounts have tilt adjustment. Other options include an articulating arm, rotational adjustment up to 180 degrees, or a shallow/flat mount.
You can expect to spend about 60 eur for most TV mounts. However, for larger, heavier TVs, you can spend up to 150 eur or more for fully adjustable options.
